“Elite Patronage” – New Space for Your Art

“Elite Patronage” – New Space for Your Art

The idea of creating the International Art Gallery “Elite Patronage” was born in Torgau with the launch of my magazine “Masterclass. Business & Art“. The project is co-financed by the European Union and by tax funds on the basis of the budget adopted by the Saxon State Parliament. With the development of the project, it became clear that the gallery had outgrown its infancy and needed new space to better represent artists from both Germany and other countries. After all, plans for future exhibitions for international artists are no trivial matter – reveals the CEO and founder Dagmara Nawratek.

“Masterclass. Business & Art“: Who does the International Art Gallery “Elite Patronage” represent?

Dagmara Nawratek: “Elite Patronage” is a magnificent space where talented artists have the opportunity to speak to an international audience through their mesmerizing artworks, presenting their extraordinary personality and exceptional passion, as well as gaining the interest of a new group of recipients. This gallery impresses with its diverse spaces tailored to represent both the graduates of arts academies and amateurs.

What is on offer for visitors to the gallery?

The audience can get acquainted with a wide range of propositions created by masters of art, who present their developed skills and clear tasteful vision of mature communication aimed at discerning connoisseurs of art, as well as by sophisticated hobbyists, who captivate art lovers with their unadulterated vision, addictive passion, unlimited creativity and heightened sensitivity.

The International Art Gallery “Elite Patronage” in cooperation with its media patron, the “Masterclass. Business & Art” magazine, has prepared a special “Maecenas Project” for artists and patrons. What makes this project unique, and what opportunities and benefits does it offer to participants?

Honorable statuettes and certificates of participation await both artists and patrons of exhibitions. Our media support and care, as well as high-quality publications provide artists with a brilliant way to find their own niche and establish their name on the art market, and sponsors – a great chance to take advantage of the wide range of effective marketing activities and discreet type of unobtrusive and non-pushy advertising which will certainly enhance the credibility and authenticity of their public images. Respectable business owners know that a company’s reputation should be built on solid foundations such as loyalty and trust. The “Maecenas Project” will allow them to use their power and authority to promote the timeless values that align with the vision of their own brands: nobility, honor, good name in accordance with the lofty idea of patronage, following in the footsteps of Gaius Cilnius Maecenas – a famous patron of artists praised by Horace in poem Carmina II, 20:
„I, all ungraced
By gentle blood, I, whom you call
Your friend, Maecenas, shall not taste
Of death, nor chafe in Lethe’s thrall.” 1

What were the motives why Horace`s poem and the figure of Gaius Cilnius Maecenas became the inspiration for creating the name for this art gallery?

I firmly believe that people of art and culture, as well as successful business owners engaged in social activities, constitute the crème de la crème of our community, the elite of our society. That is why I encourage them to work together, support each other for the common good, building something exceptional and beautiful. Thanks to the “Maecenas Project” artists have a great opportunity to find their own elite patrons (sponsors) and present their work free of charge. The poet pays tribute to Gaius Cilnius Maecenas, dedicating his literary work to him and expressing full gratitude for his support. The Roman politician, advisor and friend of Octavian Augustus was also a poet and patron of his contemporary artists, including Virgil, Horace and Propertius, whom he supported generously with his wealth, and that is why his name became synonymous with the protector of art and science. I trust that especially today it is worth promoting the idea of patronage, held by Horace in his poetic testament, which has the character of a message to posterity. Artists of today can feel like heirs to this will, which shows what a significant role protectors, custodians and sponsors play in the world of culture and art. It is thanks to them, respectable business owners, the descendants of the “Tyrrhenian kings”, that Nawratek Media International has the privilege of building a global media empire for art, which is why the International Art Gallery “Elite Patronage” would like to honor them with the words of Horace contained in Carmina III, 29:
“Heir of Tyrrhenian kings, for you
A mellow cask, unbroach’d as yet,
Maecenas mine, and roses new,
[…] Are waiting here […].”2
Our team sincerely believes that each subsequent exhibition opening organized here will be accompanied by similar honors: the “Maecenas of Art Exhibition” statuettes for patrons (sponsors) and the “Creative Laurels of Excellence” statuettes for artists.

What makes virtual art galleries stand out and why is their importance so valid in the process of digitizing cultural assets?

The spectacular success of events organized online during the coronavirus epidemic demonstrated the great need for digitizing cultural and artistic resources. This is crucial, especially for people with disabilities and illnesses, as well as for residents of small towns and villages, where culture and art are neglected and in decline, and the state of tourism leaves much to be desired. Virtual galleries, with their well-developed social media networks, allow all art lovers from all over the world not only to socialize with people of similar interests but also to engage with high-quality culture from the comfort of their own home without having to purchase art gallery tickets. We are proud to contribute to the global digitization of culture, showing excellent work of our painters and photographers worldwide and creating a unique place for the exquisite society of art lovers.

What was the motivation to open a new space for art – an individual website for the “Elite Patronage” gallery – and what exhibitions can art lovers currently admire there?

The idea of creating the International Art Gallery “Elite Patronage” was born with the launch of my magazine “Masterclass. Business & Art”, so the first fabulous exhibition by Dr. Rene Kanzler, “Butterflies of Saxony”, was opened under the wings of this magazine. And now we invite you to Barbara Heier-Rainer`s phenomenal exhibition entitled “Hand & Werk”, but to a completely new place, because we have launched a brand-new website! The creation of the new website enabled us to open a new exhibition room, so both exhibitions are available to visitors in two different spaces: Aula and Loft. With the development of the project, it became clear that the gallery had outgrown its infancy and needed new space to better represent artists from both Germany and other countries. After all, plans for future exhibitions for international artists are no trivial matter. We invite all art lovers to visit our new website, which reflects our constant development, our readiness for new challenges, openness to exciting changes, flexibility, respect for artists, and friendliness towards our diverse audience, because it is for them that we create everything and they are our greatest value.
